In just a short 15-minute drive you’ll reach Naringal Station’s closest town, Lismore. Here, you’ll find a supermarket and pharmacy filled with all the essentials that you’ll need during your stay. Keen to drive a further 10 minutes? You’ll find the perfect place for a meal, at the historic Darlington Pub.

The close-by town of Skipton is a must-see destination! Spot a platypus in Mount Emu Creek, explore the Widderin Caves or cycle around the 53km Ballarat – Skipton Rail Trail. There’s something to do for everyone! Good news, the town is only 20 minutes away.

In just a 20-minute drive you’ll reach the town of Derrinallum and 1km west and you’ll find Mount Elephant. Summit walks are available every Sunday between 1pm – 4pm. The perfect family walk from the car park to the crater rim is an easy 2km return. Wanting something more? There is an extended walk around the crater, which adds on an extra 3kms.

The small town of Smythesdale is just a 20-minute drive away. Enjoy the Smthesdale butcher or a meal at the famous Court House Hotel or find your own treasure at the local antique furniture store. Relics of Smythesdale’s gold-mining history can be found at the Jubilee Mine Historic Reserve, 11 km south of town is one of Victoria’s best preserved gold mining sites. Visiting on the third Saturday of the month? You’re in luck. A Country Market is held between 9am – 1pm.
